I fell in love with lavender during my honeymoon in Provence, France. My husband showed me how he would always rub lavender flowers in between his hands when he was a child vacationing with his family in the south of France. It created the most incredibly relaxing scent.

Ever since, I’ve incorporated lavender into our lives as much as possible because of its calming aromatherapy benefits. Here are some easy ways to add this soothing fragrance into your life, too:
Take a breather in your shower sanctuary. Put 3 to 7 drops of the lavender essential oil onto the shower floor. The hot water and steam will help the oil vapors diffuse into the air. Inhale the scented steam for relaxing aromatherapy that lasts far beyond the shower.
I also love shower oils, so I massage the lavender-scented Sweet Baby Oil all over the body to cleanse and hydrate the skin.
Bask in lavender. The Lavender Toning Mist is my beauty BFF. It instantly cools skin down and helps me feel composed. I keep it in my bag and mist before an important meeting or after Pilates to give myself a “skin shower.”
- Eat beauty. This fragrant flower is also an edible herb with Vitamin A (great for healthy skin), calcium, and iron. I love lavender honey, lavender cookies, lavender cupcakes, and lavender smoothies. Just be careful to not overpower your cooking concoctions with this potent flower; a little goes a very long way.
