How to Take Care of Your Skin in Your 40s

Posted by on

When you enter your 40s, the process of shedding skin cells has slowed down to every six to ten weeks. (For reference, it was happening every two weeks in your 20s.) We often hear at Savor Spa that our guests’ skin feels “dried out” in this decade. Estrogen levels, which help maintain skin-plumping collagen and elastin, drop and decline.

Now’s the time to use ultra-hydrating ingredients to help repair the skin. If you’re not already, be sure to layer a nourishing serum under your face cream to lock in moisture.

Savor Beauty Tip: You’ll also want to focus on exfoliation to accelerate skin renewal.

Take two pumps of the Pearl Cleansing Cream and mix in a dollop of the Manuka Honey Mask to create a rich cleansing balm that helps get rid of dead skin cells and replenish lost moisture.
