Manuka honey has been studied as an anti-inflammatory, moisture-locking ingredient. Harvested from the nectar of the Manuka tree in New Zealand, this nourishing honey is known for its antiseptic properties and is amazing for preventing breakouts and calming redness.

For a limited time, we bundled all of our Manuka honey favorites, so you can reap the benefits of this herbaceous skin healer.

Inside the Set:

  • Manuka Honey Mask:  A nourishing exfoliating enzyme mask supercharged with antioxidant Manuka honey
  • Manuka Honey Sugar Scrub: A decadent polish blended with nourishing non-clogging oils and intoxicating Italian bergamot
  • Manuka Honey Lip Scrub: A smoothing polish to exfoliate skin for soft cushiony lips

The antibacterial quality of honey depends on the type of honey as well as when and how it's harvested. Some kinds of honey maybe 100 times more potent than others.

The major antibacterial component in Manuka honey is methylglyoxal (MG). MG is a compound found in most types of honey, but usually only in small quantities. In manuka honey, MG comes from the conversion of another compound -- dihydroxyacetone -- that is found in high concentration in the nectar of manuka flowers.

MG is thought to give manuka honey its antibacterial power. The higher the concentration of MG, the stronger the antibiotic effect. Honey producers have developed a scale for rating the potency of manuka honey. The rating is called UMF, which stands for Unique Manuka Factor.

Manuka Honey Mask: Using clean fingers, or a mask brush, apply a quarter-size amount of the Manuka Honey Mask onto the face and neck. Rinse off with warm water.

Manuka Sugar Scrub: Take a small amount and massage gently onto damp skin during bath or shower. Allow sugar and honey to melt onto skin while sloughing away dead skin to reveal your smoothest, silkiest skin.

Manuka Lip Scrub: Apply a small amount of Lip Scrub to fingertips and gently massage in a circular motion over the lips and around edges of mouth for a smooth, hydrated pout.

Manuka Honey Mask: Mel (Manuka Honey). Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil. Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil* (and) Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract* (and) Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract* (and) Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract* (and) Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract* (and) Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract* (and) Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract*.
