The Coffee Recipe That Will Change Your Skin (For Good)

The Coffee Recipe That Will Change Your Skin (For Good)

This morning, I want to share with you a delicious recipe that I have started making nearly every morning: Collagen Butter Coffee.

My husband makes us coffee every day, French-press style. He’s from Switzerland where coffee is a serious art, and you don’t mess with the dark-roasts and milk ritual.

As I have become more mindful about conscious beauty and what we ingest (without sacrificing good taste), I began replacing the milk with grass-fed ghee as a dairy-free alternative, and adding collagen powder and cinnamon to nourish the skin.

Ghee is high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which help keep your skin hydrated, smooth and plump from the inside out.

Turns out that this collagen coffee is also the creamiest and most delicious morning treat! It’s also lactose-free, paleo, and good for the gut—and a healthy gut is essential to a healthy glow.

Collagen is a staple in the Korean diet I grew up with; chicken, fish, or beef bone broth soups accompanies nearly every meal.

It gives our skin its youthful suppleness and is one of the key components in repairing wounds—especially because by the time we reach 40, the body no longer produces collagen.

Organic Rosehip is a powerful ingredient to heal scars and firm skin.

Collagen can be found in one of my favorite beauty oils, Rosehip Oil, which is high in Vitamin A for promoting collagen and elastin. That’s why I added Rosehip to the formulas that make up Savor Beauty’s Pumpkin Serum, Truffle Face Cream, and Caviar Eye Cream for plump, juicy skin.

I’ve come to enjoy my beauty rituals from the inside-out and outside-in: savoring a creamy, frothy Collagen Butter Coffee while taking one minute for self-care.
